Miraculous Escapes, Vital Choices, and the Power of Support
A near-death experience (NDE) and a harrowing car accident are just two of the challenges that have shaped my life and reaffirmed my commitment to living. These experiences have taught me the importance of making conscious choices and the profound impact of support from loved ones.
Near-Death Experience and Choices
Back in 1997, an unexpected and life-changing event occurred while I was 10 weeks pregnant with my youngest daughter. I had an NDE during a critical moment when the fundus of my uterus ruptured, losing about three-quarters of my blood. The incident happened while I was home alone, and it was a grueling experience.
Despite the severity, I was fortunate to survive. My journey through the hospital was marked by a series of meaningful moments. One particularly significant night, I experienced a near-death encounter. During this experience, I sensed an incredible influx of loving energy from my soul family and angels, which gave me the opportunity to choose whether to return to my current life. After careful consideration, I decided that life was something I couldn’t live without.
Beyond the event itself, the experience profoundly changed my perspective on life. Today, I can proudly say that I’m flourishing in my life, cherishing each day with my daughter.
A Dramatic Car Accident
My life nearly took another dramatic turn in 1999 when I was 17 years old. On a deserted highway at 3 AM, under the influence of alcohol, I was driving the wrong way at high speed in my convertible. The journey that night culminated in a series of frightening events. I flipped the car three times, managed to extricate myself without injury, and lived to tell the tale.
The aftermath of that night was a wake-up call. I vowed never to drive under the influence again. Soon after, I became the designated driver for any outings with friends, ensuring everyone stayed safe. Additionally, I embraced the use of taxis whenever I had consumed alcohol. This incident serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of poor choices and the importance of responsible behavior.
The Race and Chaos
In another incident, I was in a car with a group of street drag racers, as depicted in movies and TV shows. One night, the car I was in was challenged. We set off towards a stretch of road, but our journey quickly turned chaotic. I got out of the car and blew a tire, leading to an accident that left two people dead and one permanently crippled. This incident was a stark reminder of the danger of street racing and the importance of respecting traffic laws.
After this experience, I decided to modify my classic 1960 Sprite, adding a powerful 289/271 hp motor with the top down. While I was never a street racer, the event left a lasting impression on me and the importance of safety.
The Support System
Altough these incidents were challenging and transformative, they also highlighted the power of support from loved ones. Take, for instance, the experience with my childhood friend, JJ. Over the years, we had developed a complicated relationship marked by distance and animosity due to my mental health struggles, including suicidal thoughts and depression. However, on one fateful day, my issues got the best of me. I found myself planning to starve myself, believing that my body would need time to recover from a fast.
Before I could carry out this dangerous plan, JJ entered my life once again as a lifeline. His genuine concern and understanding turned the tide. Instead of getting angry at me, he went to get me a milk and stayed with me until I drank it. The next day, he encouraged me to eat, ensuring I received the nutrition I needed to survive. His actions saved my life and transformed our relationship. Today, we are best friends and have a close bond, emphasizing the importance of support in times of crisis.
Through these experiences, I have come to understand that life is precious and that every moment is valuable. The choices we make and the support we receive can profoundly shape our journey. It is essential to cherish the people around us and to always be there for one another during moments of need.
